Free Identification of Insects and Other Arthropods

We will provide you with information about your insects. Send us a digital picture of the insect taken with a computer scanner or digital camera. In most cases we will be able to identify your insects to the family level and for many common North American insects, to genus and species.

Identifications are currently free of cost if you limit your identification requests to fewer than a dozen images over a 6 month period. We will inform you in advance if there will be a nominal charge for additional identifications.
